Course content:

NEW Tuition HD Videos 24 High quality tuition videos, averaging 2 hours each, presented by Sunil where the entire ACCA AFM syllabus is lectured on a topic-by-topic basis.
Completed Tuition Notes Completed tuition notes (PDF and spreadsheet format) accompany each tuition video and include exam standard illustrations.
Tuition Homework Questions Either an extract from or a complete past ACCA AFM question carefully selected to match the topics studied to date.
End of Tuition Mock Test A specifically created end of tuition test (with two 25 mark exam standard questions - the equivalent of 50% of a paper) to be attempted prior to the start of the revision phase. Submissions are marked to ACCA AFM exam standard.
This COMPULSORY* test sets you up for the Revision phase.  If you are unable to attempt this End of Tuition Test you should speak to Sunil, and he will consider whether you can go forward to the Revision phase.
Pre-revision recap CBE questions This course assumes you will have covered the AFM syllabus in a tuition course. However, we know not all tuition courses are the same, so you'll get a pre-revision CBE question and answer pack on those questions, plus questions of those CBE questions covered on Sunil's Tuition course.
Dealing with analysis and evaluation - "How to" notes.  A revision aide demonstrating the steps and processes needed to successfully complete key AFM calculations.
Dealing with scepticism and acumen - Theory Pack The unique document (PDF format) aggregates all the key AFM theory/written answers into one place – what to write and how to write it to pass this paper.  Includes recommended additional resources to enhance commercial acumen.
Articles Pack All relevant official ACCA articles will be incorporated into a single folder – easy to find and read - and will be referenced where appropriate within the video lectures.
Shortcuts document and videos 'CBE skills, methods and shortcuts' document and videos.
Professional marks document 'How to tackle the new Professional Marks' document.
Tutor Support Sunil will provide full tutorial support via WhatsApp (text and voice).
DPM Approach Syllabus/Topic based revision phase – each of the first seven sessions explores a core AFM topic using 2 or 3 past exam questions using notes and pre-recorded lectures.   These 7 sessions collectively cover the whole syllabus.

  • Demonstrate: using "How to" Notes, Theory Pack and Videos, I demonstrate how to apply your AFM knowledge and skills to answer questions.
  • Practice: attempt carefully chosen questions to practice the skills you have learned and self mark your attempt against my video debrief of these questions.
  • Mini mock:  it is ESSENTIAL that you practice a previously unseen question using the practice platform to time.  Your attempt is then marked: each mistake becomes a learning opportunity.
Marked Mini-Mock Questions As described above, 7 specified compulsory* mini-mock questions (the equivalent of 2.25 exams) marked to ACCA AFM standards with personal feedback.  Each question will have a video technical review giving a question commentary on each question covering both the technical, exam technique, and professional skills issues.
ACCA AFM Focused Exam Kit ~60 past AFM exam questions as set by the current ACCA AFM examining team, ordered in the same order as the Revision Course.  Each question has a PDF of the question, answers (as pdf and excel files) and a video debrief of an answer recorded within exam time by Sunil.
Revision Mock Exams Two dedicated mock.  The first to be attempted using the FME area on the ACCA practice platform. The second, close to your exam, through the FME Study Site. Submissions will be marked to exam standard by current AFM marking team members.  Full feedback, a detailed personal report on each attempt, and how you scored compared to others (anonymously).
Post mock exams IF you work and submit a Mock Exam and submit it for marking then you will receive the following for that exam:
Questions, answers (including spreadsheets), highlighted professional skills, and a video technical review giving an exam commentary on  each exam covering both the technical, exam technique, and professional skills issues.
Pass Assurance Sunil is confident that completing this course should get you a pass in ACCA AFM.  BUT, if you are not successful and have met the scheme conditions, either you will be enrolled on the Platinum Package for the next AFM exam (excluding the pass assurance element) or I will refund your fee (at my option), subject to you meeting the following conditions:

  1. You must achieve a mark of at least 40% on the End of Revision Mock Exam A included in this course.
  2. You achieved a mark of at least 40% on the AFM exam to which this course relates, and agree to us receiving your results from the ACCA. If the ACCA cancel your exam sit for you, and you otherwise meet the Pass Assurance conditions, then you will be entitled to a 50% discount if you rebook this course for the next exam.
  3. You must provide FME with all necessary information in time for FME to register you with ACCA’s results service, and agree to share this information with ACCA.
  4. You must request re-enrolment under this Pass Assurance Scheme within one week of receiving your results.

* The purpose of this course is to get you through your exam.  The best way to achieve this is for you to do the compulsory End of Tuition Mock and the Mini-Mock questions.  If you find you are unable to submit any of these on time then you are expected to contact Sunil in advance of their deadline.  You should explain why you cannot submit, and agree your next steps.  If you do not do this then Sunil may remove you from this course and enrol you on the VEK course, since this does not require you to meet such deadlines.

Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions that apply to all FME courses are at the foot of each FME website page.  These additional terms and conditions refer only to this course.

Deferrals

Deferrals are only possible if they occur before ACCA’s Standard Exam Entry date.  Each student is entitled to one free deferral.  If a student chooses to defer a second time they will be charged 50% of the course fee current at the time of deferral.  A third deferral will be charged 100% of the course fee current at the time of deferral.

End of Tuition Test

This test sets you up for the Revision phase.  If you are unable to attempt this End of Tuition Test you should speak to Sunil, and he will consider whether you can go forward to the Revision phase.  If, in Sunil’s opinion, you are not making adequate progress on your tuition course then you will not be enrolled on revision. Instead, you will be deferred to the tuition course supporting the next exam sitting.  If this scenario repeats in the following sitting, then you will remain on the tuition course until that sitting’s exam, at which point your enrolment on the course will end with no fee remission.

Notes

(*1) HD Videos can be streamed to your PC, Mac, tablet or smart phone (technology permitting) and can be watched as many times as you wish prior to your exam sitting.

(*2) WhatsApp support will be via a dedicated WhatsApp group, which will involve revealing your contact details to other students. Students will be assumed to have no knowledge of the syllabus: Sunil will answer any and all your questions that relate to AFM.  The WhatsApp group is for Sunil to support your study approach and answer your questions: it is not an exercise in the ‘blind leading the blind’, so mutual student support is encouraged, but the exchange of copyright materials between students (by any means), or any attempt by a student to obtain such materials from another student, will lead to exclusion from the course.  Membership of the group WhatsApp may be suspended or withdrawn should you behave inappropriately.  Priority in dealing with WhatsApp groups will be given to you ahead of Tuition, Revision, Mock or other students. This WhatsApp group will run from the date you enrol until 1 week before your exam, and then it will be replaced by individual support until the day before your exam.

(*3) We order electronic copies of the text/kit on request post enrolment.  The codes for these can take 7-14 days to arrive. The descriptions above are indicative of what you will receive if you enrol on this course, but not an undertaking to deliver a certain number of contact hours.  The contents / structure of this course are constantly evolving, and Sunil therefore reserves the right to make changes where he believes this will increase your chances of passing.
