Tuition Course

The tuition course I have created for you based on my experience of working with ACCA makes sure that you have knowledge of the key technical areas which the computer based exam (CBE) requires  you to apply in a commercial and workplace related way. The course will highlight the key things you need to know and then show how to apply this knowledge using simple techniques that will deliver you fantastic answers to real exam questions.

To supplement the technical knowledge, I will also be sending you regular articles which explain how some of the technical things we discuss apply and are relevant in current real-life business situations. This is very important as the SBL examining team will be also influenced by these events and some of them will act to catalyse real exam questions.

This course is designed to get you through your exam if you are sitting in 2 months’ time, or later.  However, I would really encourage you to get yourself organised and follow my advice in all the motivational articles I have written on the ACCA website and get this exam out of the way as soon as possible – and then start living your life again. If you follow my approach it is definitely something you can do – so please have confidence and, if you are reading this shortly after results day, enter for the next exam sitting.

This course consists of pre-recorded lectures covering all of the main areas that are needed to create good insights and opinions to SBL case questions. You will also get summary guidance notes on how to approach each area.  There are relevant homework questions, with video debriefs of the questions.  This material will be integrated with videos and articles produced by the ACCA examining team.

This course concludes with a 4-hour SBL mock, just as in the real exam, with a full professional standard marking service.  All of the questions will be of an exam standard right from the start so you get fully familiar with what is expected of you in the real exam.  Even better, and unlike many other SBL courses, you will answer many of your practice questions on the ACCA practice platform (designed by the ACCA to mimic your real SBL CBE exam platform) so you can become fully familiar with its functionality.

Your approach to following the course will be manged by clear guidance and will involve building up knowledge step by step before showing you how to apply it to real exam questions.  You will attempt more questions to exam standard / in exam time than you may have done when studying for applied skills papers.  It is really important that you attempt the questions I set this way as that is how you will earn yourself the best chance of being successful.  I will be with you all the way,  making sure that you know what to do and learn from any mistakes that you might make. the best. MY ACCA SBL: CBE Platinum Revision Course will help you revise for and to pass the 2020 SBL CBE exam.  All learning is directed toward the exam and utilises past SBL exam questions and other questions written by me or sourced by me set on the ACCA CBE practice platform, and constructed as a ‘mini ACCA exam’, to give you the confidence you need in preparation for the real CBE exam.

Your revision course includes:

• The latest version of the Kaplan on line Revision Kit
• My support via a dedicated WhatsApp group
• Relevant articles and my revision notes
• Video recordings of me debriefing selected questions, often using the ACCA CBE practice platform.
• One full SBL mock exam marked and returned with feedback (using the FME area of the ACCA CBE practice platform)

You are enrolled on a course-specific WhatsApp support group as soon as you buy this course.  Other materials and resources are made available about 6 weeks before your exam.

This course assumes you will have covered the SBL syllabus in a tuition course, ideally introducing you to the CBE environment.

Conditions for Payment by Instalments

You can enrol now by paying the instalment payment (choose the first instalment payment drop down for your chosen exam), and then making two further payments to buy your course.  You will be enrolled within 24 hours of your initial payment, and usually immediately.

Your second payment must be made by 7th of the month following your initial payment.  E.g. if you enrol on 2nd or 26 March  you must make your second payment by 7 April, and your third instalment by 7 May.  Your second instalment and third instalment is made using the drop down menu above, in the same way as your first instalment.

If you are unable to make subsequent payment(s) by the agreed due date(s) then you should speak to Sean urgently.   If you do not pay an instalment by the due date your enrolment will lapse and you will need to enrol afresh to gain access to your course, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

A course is available for ‘Payment by instalments’ only if the First Instalment for that exam is available.  Making a second or third instalment payment before making a first instalment payment will result in your payment being held as a downpayment against a subsequent course with this tutor.  If you ask for such funds to be returned then we can do so, but will deduct the bank collection fees paid and an admin fee of £20.

Deferral policy

1. • Please make any deferral request by email or by What’sApp to Sean Purcell
   • There is a £40 admin fee
   • You can only defer once: no subsequent deferral allowed
   • Deferral is not allowed once the standard exam entry date for the relevant exam has passed

Progression to Revision

Progression to revision is contingent on adequate progress in tuition. If, in your tutor’s opinion, you are not making adequate progress on your tuition course then you will not be enrolled on revision. Instead, you will be deferred to the tuition course supporting the next exam sitting.  If this scenario repeats in the following sitting, then you will remain on the tuition course until that sitting’s exam, at which point your enrolment on the course will end with no fee remission.
