Description
The SBL examination is unlike anything that you have come across in your studies so far. The paper requires candidates to use commercial, professional and ethical judgement to address complex business challenges under time constraints; much as you are expected to do in the real world.
The curriculum relies extensively on knowledge from earlier ACCA subjects; including Accountant in Business, Corporate and Business Law, Performance Management, Financial Reporting, Audit and Assurance, and Financial Management, and, there is a strong emphasis on ethics and professional skills throughout the syllabus.
The Mock Exam Service focuses on exam technique: it is designed to ‘get you over the line’ in your last minute SBL preparation. It assumes a good foundation knowledge in SBL material: but whatever your prior learning, you should never underestimate the importance of good exam technique: particularly in SBL.
Ashim Kumar offers detailed exam technique guidance by video and numerous articles, a mock examination, with marking and personalised audio feedback, all complemented with access to a private WhatsApp group.
Whilst you can buy and enrol on this course now for future diets, the complete course will not be available until approximately 6 weeks before your chosen exam date.

Course Content
Detailed exam technique guidance | A very common complaint of examiners is that students, even at the final level, do not display good exam technique; especially when it comes to time discipline. We will learn how to earn those ‘easy’ marks which are available for good technique and could make the difference to our success. |
Revision Tutor support | Support from Ashim Kumar by Whatsapp / Zoom / email from 4 weeks before your exam until the day before your exam. |
Final Mock exam (ME3) | You are now prepared for the ‘big day’! A full Mock Exam will be issued; it is vital that you attempt it under exam conditions. The questions will reflect a best guess of likely topics in the real examination. This exercise will provide the best indication of your preparedness and, the opportunity to fill any gaps. All Mock Exam answer scripts received before the deadline, will be marked and returned with commentary. Homework questions can be submitted either on paper (scanned to pdf) or using the ACCA CBE Practice Site and printed to pdf. You are encouraged to use the CBE Practice Site if you are taking a CBE. |
One-to-one feedback on your Final Mock Exam performance | Ashim Kumar will arrange a WhatsApp or Zoom call with each student to thoroughly debrief your Final Mock Exam performance. |
Exam tips | How we need to approach the exam; from timekeeping to exam discipline. I will also include a list of my best guess of exam topics. |
