Patrick Barr

Patrick became a CIMA member in 2004 and was awarded Fellowship in 2012. He is now also a Chartered Global Management Accountant, CGMA.

Following qualification he worked for more than five years with Deloitte’s Financial and Performance Management Team in Belfast. He worked across a range of sectors and industries and was involved in a number of Finance Transformation projects taking him all over the UK and Europe.

In the summer of 2010 Patrick left Deloitte and joined the Courts & Tribunals Service as Head of Financial Management, then, in March 2012 he joined the Department of Justice as Head of Financial Governance.

Patrick was the first Chair of CIMA Ireland following the merger of CIMA ROI and CIMA NI in 2011. He is currently on CIMA Council and is a member of the Lifelong Learning and Thought Leadership Committees.

Patrick tutors ACCA courses (P1, P3 and P5) in Belfast with consistently high pass rates. He has had a number of highly successful students who have been prizewinners at both a national and global level.
