ACCA FM: FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
ACCA FM: “To develop knowledge and skills expected of a financial manager – relating to issues affecting investment, financing, and dividend policy decisions.”
ACCA FM is where accounting interacts with Treasury and Corporate Finance. The role of the accountant changes from that of recording historic transactions, to that of advising the Board on key decision making issues: where to invest, how to finance that investment, and when to repay equity investors. Risk management is also key.
